The Beech House are proud to be hosting our first ever Amersham Community Awards, a celebration of the individuals and groups who make our town great. We opened The Beech House because we’re passionate about neighbourhood pubs, a place to gather with friends and neighbours and now we’re wanting to shine a spotlight on those within our community whose passion and commitment contribute to life in Amersham.

We are inviting our guests, team members and residents of Amersham to nominate those who go above and beyond within our town through acts of service, creative contributions, environmental efforts, or being a source of positivity in everyday life. These awards are our way of saying thank you to the unsung heroes, local legends, and rising stars who help make Amersham the fantastic place it is.

For each nomination you make, please include their full name and why you believe they deserve the award. Nominations deadline is Tuesday 1st July 2025.

LOCAL LEGEND AWARD

Celebrating an individual whose contributions to the local community have left a lasting impact through years of dedication, generosity and passion. Whether through volunteer work, community leadership, cultural enrichment, or simply by being a presence in the town and is known and loved by many. More than just a familiar face, they are a true local treasure in Amersham.

YOUNG HERO AWARD

Recognising an inspiring individual under the age of 21 who is already making a meaningful difference within the local community. Whether that's through their dedication to sports, acts of service within the local area, or championing causes close to their heart. It celebrates young people who show courage, compassion and commitment beyond their years. The Young Hero is a role model and a shining example of the positive impact the next generation is having on our town.

BEST LOCAL BUSINESS

Celebrating a small business that goes above and beyond it's service to the Amersham community. They embody local pride, foster connections and contribute to the town's spirit and identity. Whether supporting local causes, creating welcoming spaces or offering outstanding customer care, this business is a shining example of community-driven enterprise.

ARTS & CULTURE AWARD

Honouring a local performer, artist or event that added joy and enrichment to the town. This award recognises those who enrich the town’s cultural landscape, whether through music, theatre, visual arts, dance, literature, or community festivals. Their work fosters expression, connection, and shared experience, making Amersham a more vibrant and imaginative place to live.

GREEN HEART AWARD

Recognising an individual, group or initiative the demonstrates outstanding commitment to environmental impact, sustainability or green leadership in Amersham. Leading by example to inspire a more eco-conscious community through sustainability projects, conservation efforts, education or everyday leadership in green living.

COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD

Celebrating someone whose generosity, kindness and dedication often go unnoticed but are very much appreciate. These are individuals who consistently support others, lend a helping hand and strengthen the community within Amersham through their selfless acts. Whether that's working behind the scenes on events and initiatives, or simply being a reliable person in times of needs, checking in on neighbours, and embody the true meaning of community.

UNSUNG HERO AWARD

Shining a light on someone whose dedication and everyday acts of kindness often without seeking attention or praise, make a big difference to life in Amersham. Recognising those that go above and beyond to support others and show up when it matters the most and have a significant impact on the local community.

PUB PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR

Recognising one of our regulars, a character that brings warmth, wit and a welcoming spirit to The Beech House. Their presence lights up the pub, whether it's through great conversation, contagious laughter or by being the heart and soul of our guests. Known by many, loved by all all and embodying the values that make The Beech House more than just a pub and restaurant.
